You are so much younger than I was when the truth of being a bondservant of the Lord hit home. I also studied Ephesians 6:5-8, Luke 1:28-38 and Romans 6, which you may find encouraging as well. If Christ's earthly life shows us who we are to be, namely servants, than His resurrection and return to glory show us who we will be, namely co-heirs, firstborn children of the High King of Heaven! That promised future should richly inform our daily journey through this world as slaves of God. For the word of our Servant King has pulled us from despair and disillusionment, saying, "Cheer up! On your feet! He is calling you! (Mark 10:49)" These are deep and amazing truths! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Steve.
